The building where the Claridge Hotel is currently located stands in Piazza Piave, a site formerly used for public executions.
The intervention foresee actions just at the ground floor of the prospect on Malcontenti street,with the porpuse of optimize the compliance between internal functions and compositional optimization of the builindg’s frontage, that contains some anomalies in the external design. More precisley the composition of the external openings, wich have considerably different dimensions, has been made symmetrical. Due to the necessity of bring in coverage the hotel’s technoligies, the intervention foresaw a concelament between the plugging body of the machinery with the nineteenth-century features of the building.
Therefore externally the currently existing roof terrace has been lengthened, making it symmetrical, while the external finishing follows the composition and design of the current one.
